Meet our MSU Advisory Board
Ashley Martinez has been a School Counselor at Mamaroneck High School since 2016. Prior to that she worked for a community-based organization in New York City as the Director of College Counseling. She focused on uplifting under-resourced communities and providing first-generation, college-bound students with pathways to achieving their postsecondary goals. She has spent the last 10 years advocating for access and equity for all students. She is excited to continue these efforts through the initiatives of the MSU. Ms. Martinez is very proud of her Puerto Rican and Cuban background; speaking English and Spanish.
Aaron Shansky is an English teacher at the high school and grew up in the community. Outside of the classroom, he commits to being a white participant in social justice work from volunteering at the Community Resource Center to working across campaigns at Jews for Racial and Economic Justice. He speaks Yiddish and some Spanish.
Marsha Genwright has been a School Counselor at Mamaroneck High School since January 2009. She was born on the beautiful island of Jamaica and emigrated to the United States at the age of 12 years old. Ms. Genwright is a member of Mamaroneck’s District Equity Team and is excited to support the initiatives of this Union. She is proud to be multicultural, as an African-Jamaican-American woman.
Kimberly Omoloju is the School Counselor for the MHS Connections Program. She is African-American and Nigerian by way of marriage. Mrs. Omoloju is new to the district and excited about the initiatives of the Multicultural Student Union.
